greetings from your favorite grinch. which I only say because I’ve managed to kill my Christmas tree already and it’s only december 4.
I’ve had way too much fun culling through things to make these gift guides, so I hope you enjoy browsing as much as I enjoyed curating. and if you want to get straight to the products, just click here.
for the chic self-care queen
You know the one. Can be found in bed by 9 most weeknights. Has a passion for finding the finer things while perusing online. Hasn’t met a facemask she doesn’t like.
Goop detox scalp scrub- I mean whose scalp isn’t neglected these days?
diamond studs- hear me out, they’re *under $200*. I recently discovered this brand through a tiktok video, revealing how overpriced 14k gold jewelry is
handmade ceramic mug- nothing says “think of me every time you relax” like a unique vessel to sip sleepytime tea in
Mirth pink lemonade robe- I can personally attest to the chic-ness of slipping on this robe in the wee hours of the morning to put on a pot of coffee, or soothe a crying baby
gingham nightgown- If you don’t sleep in nightgowns, we need to have a discussion. This one’s in a festive red gingham that says holiday with a side of I can still wear this in July and noone will ask why my Christmas pjs are out
lindquist purse- definitely not for someone who is receiving coal from santa. but who doesn’t love a uniquely shaped purse that’s equal parts practical and funky, for a little splurge
hart jewelry charm necklace- Great pricepoint for a commitment that’s heirloom, but not so nice you can’t wear it everyday.
Maya Brenner initial necklace- if there is a mom in your life who doesn’t have one, this is the gift.
Adidas sambas-they’re chic, they’re not a huge investment, and they’re not comfortable enough to run a marathon in. but the colors lately are…delicious
Then I met you cleansing balm- smells like persimmons, glides on like butter, and when you add water all of your makeup melts off. It’s magic. But that’s Korean skincare for you
Merit lip balm-great color, great size, great look, great ethics
for the hostess
everyone has that special hostess in their life. who thinks of every last detail and loves a unique statement piece. enter: etsy. the majority of these pieces are from etsy and are vintage or handmade. a gift that says “Oh where are these glasses from? They’re vintage and you’ll be hardpressed to ever find one this chic”
Maria Ida glass blown bowls- I love a good catchall as a gift, but these pieces could honestly hold their own with nothing in them and still be gorgeous
ceramic oyster dish- for oysters, duh. or for your friend’s eclectic plate wall.
vintage silver cake server- remember what we said? every. last. detail. So chic, so timeless
vintage round goblet glass- for cocktails? for ice cream? you name it.
vintage crystal candle holders- I don’t have a link, just a hint for what you should go thrifting for.
diptyque sapin candle- the gift that keeps on giving...imagine the makeup brush holder this one would leave you with..
anthropologie match cloche- matches are back and they’re here to stay. why use a long handed lighter when you could strike a fire in style
liberty of london christmas stockings- imagine a fireplace lined in these fabrics. ugh.
jaymes paper cards- handpressed and oh so chic
red marble tray - think Anastasio home, but without the price tag. and did I mention? it’s from etsy
for baby
full disclosure this is weighted towards baby girls. particularly baby girls with mothers who love pink and classic things. you can’t possibly imagine who I’m referring to.
lake pajamas baby pointelle sleeper- you had me at pointelle. the softest and sweetest
gap bear one-piece- name something cuter than a baby wearing ears. I dare you
baby camping chair- for the baby who has everything. everything except a chair so she can eat anywhere and everywhere in style.
croghans baby bangle-the sweetest heirloom piece to be passed down for generations of tiny baby wrists
name puzzle- educational, pretty and pastel. what more could you want?
ruffle gingham pillow- perfect pop of pink for a rocking chair
our little adventures bookset- perfect little bookset for the shelves, with the sweetest watercolor illustrations
bibs x liberty pacifiers- can your baby get any more chic?
olli ella strolley- perfect for learning little walkers, and so precious as stuffed animal storage
hot air balloon shaped cozy light- how cute in a nursery; soft light only* allowed for optimal cozy pre bedtime
silver brush and comb set- engraving is free and an absolute must
watercolor baby stationary- the desk of a baby may be covered in spitup, but the stationary most definitely will not be. perfect size for little thank you’s.
And this concludes my 2023 gift guides. If you’re ever truly stumped, you can never go wrong with handmade or thrifted gifts. Nothing says I thought of you and love you like the $4 vintage champagne coupes you find on the bottom shelf of the consignment store, or the $.50 pie pan that your friend still doesn’t own but refuses to buy for themselves. For the person who seems to have everything? Fresh baked cookies can work wonders. Or just cookies. Noone’s complaining.
When I’m overwhelmed with gift options, I always try to remember the reason for the season. Or the reason you’re gifting. Just a little something to show someone they’re loved and appreciated.
happy browsing!
