holiday hangover
Everyone hanging in there after that turkey and shopping hangover? If you survived the chaos of Black Friday shopping, hats off. We on the other hand, made it through the entire week and fully crashed and burned by Sunday. Our Thanksgiving was very lowkey, a perfect feast for 6 people at my parents’. Charlotte was of course the turkey of honor, the pièce de la resistance resting in the center of the table.
We crammed our weekend full of Thanksgiving leftovers, long bike rides (for one of us and not the other), family facetimes, kids birthday parties, more feasting (Korean food this time), and squeezing loved ones who were in town to see family for the holiday. Emotionally and physically exhausted, I think Charlotte summed it up best as she screamed until her head hit the mattress.
Yesterday, more wiped than we had words for, we picked up a tree at Kroger along with groceries for the week and hibernated, hanging wreaths and garlands inside a home filled with Christmas carols. This morning, we’re resetting for the week by preparing for family coming in town. Neilson heads out on Thursday for his first camp of the season. Charlotte and I will be flying solo for a whole 10 days.
Keeping it brief today as I know our mailboxes are inundated with last chance sale emails. But since it is the last day of a lot of sales, I wanted to share a lil peek of the ones I thought were worth the deal and dove into….all gathered here.
