This morning, Neilson somehow got back onto a plane and Charlotte and I had a slightly rushed morning to get her to school before my midwife appointment. Exhausted from such trials, I was back home before 10 am to finish a cold cup of coffee and sink into the couch.
Since then my brain has been a mess of reading articles, while simultaneously watching youtube, ordering lunch, remembering things I need to do and scrolling pinterest. Physically, I’m exhausted from the travel and mentally I’m scatterbrained.
a weekend in paris
Back to why we’re here.
Paris trips are different chasing after a toddler, but also oh so sweet. We hit the jardins du luxembourg and then various parks in neighborhoods we stayed in which honestly were all so civilized. The city is so beautiful that even just walking to and fro different locations is a dream.
Sunday, we watched the tour de france finale on the champs élysée in the pouring rain before being reunited with dada for good. It was muddy and not so glamorous but Charlotte was in her element.
I didn’t have a ton of time for shopping but squeezed in a trip to merci in the marais, and le bon marché and smallable on the rive gauche. Picked up some typology products at printemps, and window shopped at a few vintage shops in le marais. Drank a lot of good coffee, enjoyed a nutella crêpe or two and indulged in some steak-frites at a bistro. Neilson and I had our celebratory post tour Korean dinner at Sam Sun and strolled through palais royal at sunset afterwards before running into a carnival in the tuileries for dessert.

I’ve become so a.d.d that I have converted my old calligraphy instagram to a page for vintage finds and home inspiration. These days insta feels like a melting pot of personal announcements, fashion pics, travel content and vintage accounts I follow. Anyways, with zero commitment to doing anything extra I’ve separated mine out to at share some brocanting tips and treasures found along the way.
